Announcement Of A Pending Site Move

Update: Chat room is now open – auto-float is now enabled!

In the next few weeks I am going to work on moving Dostana Mehfil to a new server. The reason being that the current server is very slow and at times has returned site access error 500.

This has been one of the reason why I have not done much maintenance on updating the site. But I have also been pretty much busy with other projects of which two are attached to this site. I’ve managed to secure a video hosting provider after the last one failed to deliver on dostanamehfiltube.com which resulted in the los of the domain name.  Read more... Now that bollywoodtalk.com has closed its chat room with a big message reading “CHAT ROOM CLOSED. WE WILL OPEN IT ONCE USERS START TO BEHAVE”, would you like to see dostanamehfil’s own chat room re-opened?

Waise I’ve been thinking ke, how will they know that the users have started behaving again?

Another year has gone by and another ramadhan is upon us. So let us take time to reflect on what has gone by and look forward to the coming bounties. Let us also take time out to reflect on why we fast and ask Allah to grant us the will power to fulfil our duties.

As Muslims we all know why we fast but at the same time we take for granted and overlook the main reason and therefore loose out. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachan Mobbed

Aishwarya Rai recently went on a trip to her newly done sea-facing bungalow ‘Naivaidya’. The four-storied, pristine white structure, which stands not too far away from Rajesh Khanna’s bungalow ‘Ashirwad’, was recently completed and the Bachchan bahu was keen on having a dekko.

So the other day, Abhishek drove her down to their new abode and Ash seemed very pleased with the way things turned out. After doing a thorough run-through of their house, the Bachchan couple decided to have a high tea together to celebrate. And since their sea-facing view is to die for, they brought out chairs on their first floor balcony and were sipping on their tea. But very soon, they were spotted by a group of bystanders and a huge crowd gathered outside their bungalow and began calling out to the Bachchan couple. Abhiash initially indulged them, by waving out, but as the crowd started growing they disappeared behind the curtains and before anyone could figure it out, they vamoosed through the back entrance.  Read more...
