Hi doston, I am back after a couple weeks away and I noticed a couple of my friends have joined up so here is a personal warm welcome to them . Keeping on th theme of the site name I kinda got a buzz reading up on the forthcoming bollywood movie that has the same title as our mehfi and thought I’d share with you all.

Dostana (Hindi: दोस्ताना, translation: Friendship) is a forthcoming Bollywood film starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. It is directed by Karan Johar’s assistant, Tarun Mansukhani. The film began filming in Miami, Florida in March 2008, and is the first Bollywood film to be set entirely in Miami.

This is a story about two guys (Sameer – a male nurse and Kunal- a photographer), a girl (Neha- a fashion Journo) and an apartment. Sam and Kunal bump into each other while looking for an apartment to rent and coincidentally head towards the same apartment. However, they are both thrown out because the owner wants to rent the apartment to girls only since her niece stays in that apartment alone.

Sameer gets an idea that if Kunaland him pretend to be lovers, then the owner will agree to let them stay. Even though their plan works, the boys are in a predicament as they both fall in love with the owner’s niece, Neha Melwani, who thinks they are gay.

Abhishek Bachchan as Sameer- Born and raised in London, now in his early thirties, Sameer works in Miami, as a male nurse at St. Steve’s Hospital. A goofy kind of guy, who yet has the ability to charm his way into anybody’s life. Sameeris the man with the plan. Plans that he seldom thinks through its consequences.

John Abraham as Kunal- Kunal is a guy in his early thirties. Tall, suave, confident, and good looking who has this brooding quality about him that makes girls swoon over him, which he plays to his full advantage. He’s a gorgeous fashion photographer who is pretty straight edged, responsible, and an organized man who has his life in order except for his residence permit as he is an illegal immigrant.

Priyanka Chopra as Neha- Neha Melwani is a 27 year old, contemporary Indian woman. She is a smart, gorgeous and stylish woman, working at a fashion magazine called Verve. Hard working and someone who loves her work, she longs to settle down and have a family. She is respectful, intelligent and also innocent which sometimes lands her into trouble.
