Softening Judgment – Moving Beyond Appearances

Posted by AJ under Conduct, Relationships

This is a post by: “Sue Divine” Submited via yahoo groups (Masaledaar).

It is our natural inclination to judge people, since it happens without us even thinking about it. We take one look and summarize a whole person – overweight, pretty, stylish, sloppy. This habit comes from the mind’s need to categorize the world in order to be able to function without becoming overwhelmed.

When we judge, we are looking for pertinent information, trying to determine whether the person approaching is a threat, an ally, or someone we don’t need to worry about. This way of looking at people makes sense in a dangerous context, but in our daily lives it leads to an overly simplistic reading of the people we meet.

Aik Choti Si Prem Kahani

Posted by Ajnabi under Love, Relationships

Prem had just about recovered from a breakdown following the break up of his marriage. He was doing his best to rebuild his life after all around him had turned their back on him – not having anyone to talk to Prem had turned to the Internet and a chat room to make friends, have a chit chat, pass time and get away from the loneliness and boredom that had surrounded him.

Free Orkut and MySpace friendship quotes Graphics GlittersAs he was being himself, having some fun with lighthearted banters on chat – a name on the list caught his attention. Looking on the chat screen he noticed her chatting away and the first thing that hit is mind was “What a maghroor ladki” and thought to himself “Iski ghurur todna hai mujhe” – He set forth to break her gamand kinda attitude not knowing that this was the beginning of something that would change his life.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won’t survive the week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.

If you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back,a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

Bite Huwe Lamhe – Aik Tasweer Hazaar Kahaniyan!

Posted by admin under Conduct, Life, Love, Relationships

Kitne haseen din the woh! Jab hum bhi jawaan huwe karte the ;) – Like wild horses we roamed about amongst our families with no care in the world. Our elders around us, looking after us, protecting us, naturing us, feeding us and teaching us all there is to learn about the world.

Wild Horses

Then came the time when we grew up and became adults, Thus started the second leg our journey through life. The life that is forever beautified by those dear and close to us, that someone special who joins and becomes a part of our overall family. Ah the joyous moments spent by the seashore, bare feet as we walked on the beach, a light breeze upon us and the soft slapping of the waves. Together you wonder about watching the sunset, embraced with a sweet moment and a memory to cherish, now and forever.

Pyaar Bhi Kya Chiz Hai

Posted by admin under Love, Poems, Relationships, Shayari

Kya Iska Hee Naam Pyaar Hai
Friends Rose
Ek pal mein wo has dete hai…
Duje hee pal mein khafa ho jaate hai…
Khatti-Meethi Nok Jhok se…
Hum ek duje ka dil behlate hai…
Kya iska hee naam Pyaar hai?
Ankhe
Unke saath yeh duniyaa bhari si lagti…
Unke bina ajeeb sa sunapan hai…
Durr sahi unka saath muje hai mehsoos hota…
Baat na hone se Virana hai..
Kya iska hee naam Pyaar hai?

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachan Mobbed

Posted by admin under Relationships

Guest Post By: Aravind Reddy
ashandabhiAishwarya Rai recently went on a trip to her newly done sea-facing bungalow ‘Naivaidya’. The four-storied, pristine white structure, which stands not too far away from Rajesh Khanna’s bungalow ‘Ashirwad’, was recently completed and the Bachchan bahu was keen on having a dekko.

So the other day, Abhishek drove her down to their new abode and Ash seemed very pleased with the way things turned out. After doing a thorough run-through of their house, the Bachchan couple decided to have a high tea together to celebrate. And since their sea-facing view is to die for, they brought out chairs on their first floor balcony and were sipping on their tea. But very soon, they were spotted by a group of bystanders and a huge crowd gathered outside their bungalow and began calling out to the Bachchan couple. Abhiash initially indulged them, by waving out, but as the crowd started growing they disappeared behind the curtains and before anyone could figure it out, they vamoosed through the back entrance.

Value thy parents

Posted by Zulfi under Relationships

*An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45
years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, “What is this?”

The Son replied “It is a crow”.

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, “What is this?”
The Son said “Father, I have just now told you “It’s a crow”. After a little
while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?”

At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son’s tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. “It’s a crow, a crow”. A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time, “What is this?”
