Softening Judgment – Moving Beyond Appearances

It is our natural inclination to judge people, since it happens without us even thinking about it. We take one look and summarize a whole person – overweight, pretty, stylish, sloppy. This habit comes from the mind’s need to categorize the world in order to be able to function without becoming overwhelmed.

When we judge, we are looking for pertinent information, trying to determine whether the person approaching is a threat, an ally, or someone we don’t need to worry about. This way of looking at people makes sense in a dangerous context, but in our daily lives it leads to an overly simplistic reading of the people we meet.  Read more... Prem had just about recovered from a breakdown following the break up of his marriage. He was doing his best to rebuild his life after all around him had turned their back on him – not having anyone to talk to Prem had turned to the Internet and a chat room to make friends, have a chit chat, pass time and get away from the loneliness and boredom that had surrounded him.

As he was being himself, having some fun with lighthearted banters on chat – a name on the list caught his attention. Then came the time when we grew up and became adults, Thus started the second leg our journey through life. The life that is forever beautified by those dear and close to us, that someone special who joins and becomes a part of our overall family. Ah the joyous moments spent by the seashore, bare feet as we walked on the beach, a light breeze upon us and the soft slapping of the waves. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachan Mobbed

Aishwarya Rai recently went on a trip to her newly done sea-facing bungalow ‘Naivaidya’. The four-storied, pristine white structure, which stands not too far away from Rajesh Khanna’s bungalow ‘Ashirwad’, was recently completed and the Bachchan bahu was keen on having a dekko.

So the other day, Abhishek drove her down to their new abode and Ash seemed very pleased with the way things turned out. After doing a thorough run-through of their house, the Bachchan couple decided to have a high tea together to celebrate. And since their sea-facing view is to die for, they brought out chairs on their first floor balcony and were sipping on their tea. But very soon, they were spotted by a group of bystanders and a huge crowd gathered outside their bungalow and began calling out to the Bachchan couple. Abhiash initially indulged them, by waving out, but as the crowd started growing they disappeared behind the curtains and before anyone could figure it out, they vamoosed through the back entrance.  Read more... *An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45
years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, “What is this?”

The Son replied “It is a crow”.

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, “What is this?”
The Son said “Father, I have just now told you “It’s a crow”. After a little
while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?”
