Are friends forever? or are they just for a time ? . with these two questions. now i want to discuss friends as human beings, with one another. here we can have two types of friendships, male male friends and female female friends and opposite sex friendships. i believe friendship is based on trust, not really on giving or taking, so selfishness goes out of the window. to be around someone and to talk to them maybe with people or alone, one needs to trust that individual or feel safe in doing so. this could be online for instance or over the phone friendships or pen pals even. Some even go as far as abusing it. But having said that if one remains steadfast and true to his/her friendship then those around them are bound to come around and fullfil their obligations. It may take time and a lot of effort but steadfastness is the key to having a great friendship or any other relationship for that matter. We fall of the friend(ship) from time to time but its all about compromise and working out the differences and moving on. You wil find this aproach to others will actualy strengthen your relationship. The thing to remember is when you fall off is to get up and keep on moving, soon or later those who drift off will be the ones that come back to give you a helping hand - if they were true friends to start with.
