With modern technology at our disposal, Dostana has truly gone global! You can now literally sit at your pc in Delhi and have tea with your friends sitting on the other side of the world! Dostana Mehfil is an extension to that environment, a place to meet and make friends worldwide. This mehfil is for both NRDs (Non Resident Desi) and RDs (Resident Desi), NDs (Non Desi) as well as PDs (Paka Desi).

Friends and just friendship…………

A friend is a person to laugh and cry with,

True that most ppl r selfish and dont realy know the true meaning of frienship. Some even go as far as abusing it. But having said that if one remains steadfast and true to his/her friendship then those around them are bound to come around and fullfil their obligations. It may take time and a lot of effort but steadfastness is the key to having a great friendship or any other relationship for that matter.

We fall of the friend(ship) from time to time but its all about compromise and working out the differences and moving on. You wil find this aproach to others will actualy strengthen your relationship. The thing to remember is when you fall off is to get up and keep on moving, soon or later those who drift off will be the ones that come back to give you a helping hand – if they were true friends to start with. If they werent then you have nothing to worry about but move on and make new friends

Friends we are talking about. they can come in many shapes and forms, a mans best friend now a days is called a dog, surely a dog can brighten up your day or maybe raise a smile or eyebrow at the least. but really what is a friend, i have read words such as selfish. Are friends forever? or are they just for a time ? .

with these two questions.

now i want to discuss friends as human beings, with one another. here we can have two types of friendships, male male friends and female female friends and opposite sex friendships.

i believe friendship is based on trust, not really on giving or taking, so selfishness goes out of the window.

to be around someone and to talk to them maybe with people or alone, one needs to trust that individual or feel safe in doing so. this could be online for instance or over the phone friendships or pen pals even.

In reality friendships are much different, for instance some people might be friends with others to use them, like using money, or cars or even for pleasure.

so the questions i leave you with are, are friends forever ?

i believe their is no real friendship between people unless it has been tested to the limits, this is my own belief. you only know who your friend is at your time of need.

Sexy…. I completely agree with your post, I guess we live in a place were friends tend to take advantage of eachother for thier sake/need which is very wrong. I did go through a very bad patch in my life and realisted that only a few of my mates were there to pick me up and for the rest that wasnt it’s just a simple case of hello and goodbye.
